This role requires strong leadership skills and expertise in construction payroll, including Certified Payroll compliance. The ideal candidate must have experience processing payroll for at least 300 employees and possess advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). The Payroll Manager will work with Vista software and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 300+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee Certified Payroll reporting and compliance with prevailing wage laws
Administer payroll in Vista software and maintain in-house payroll operations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Process multi-state payroll, including garnishments, deductions, and benefits contributions
Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as needed
Lead and manage the payroll team, providing training and support
Implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline payroll-related functions
Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure payroll integrity
Minimum 5 years of payroll management experience
Construction industry experience (required)
Certified Payroll expertise
Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees
Proficiency in Vista payroll software (required)
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, wage compliance, and reporting requirements
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Experience with union payroll and multi-state payroll processing
Strong analytical mindset and ability to drive process improvements
Background in bonus and profit-sharing payroll structures
